Concluding the 30 months of joint work on road infrastructure safety for cyclists we cordially invite you to our final conference titled ‘Safer Bicycle Routes in Danube Area’. The final conference is organised in cooperation with the European Strategy for Danube Region (EUSDR) – PA1b: To improve mobility and multimodality – Road Rail, and Air Links.
23 November 2023 in Bucharest, Romania, starting at 10.00 at the Grand Hotel Bucharest, Fortuna Room, 21st floor.
Please register with the official link.
The conference will bring together cycling and road safety stakeholders to highlight SABRINA’s results and demonstrate the benefits of systematic approach to safer cycling infrastructure. It will contribute to the debate around the need to make cycling safe before making it more popular and involve discussions on cycling safety investments and innovative cycling safety assessments like CycleRAP. In addition, the conference will underline the need to work towards the implementation of both the United Nations and European Commission goals on road safety with special focus on vulnerable road users.
Together with our high-level guests we will discuss, based on SABRINA findings, how to improve conditions for road bicycle infrastructure safety in the Danube region by raising the capacities of all relevant national, regional, and local stakeholders to build and improve bicycle infrastructure in a safe and sustainable way.
An interactive presentation booth will be set up in the conference lobby to allow participants to test in real time the benefits of the instruments developed in the SABRINA project.
If you have any questions, we are happy to answer them.
Looking forward to welcoming you on our final conference!
